About Us
Disciples with Microphones is a lay-run Catholic apostolate whose mission is to spread the Good News of the Gospel through the medium of the microphone. Disciples with Microphones is a group of individuals who are passionate about Jesus, His Church, and faithfully fulfilling the New Evangelization. We are faithful and obedient to the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, and to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
We started in late 2004 after Carlos Briceno wrote a column for the National Catholic Register, articulating the vision for this form of evangelization. He asked interested parties to contact him; some people did, a Yahoo! discussion group was started, and we were off and running.
Disciples with Microphones now features over 50 podcasts, including podcasts by people such as Cardinal Francis Arinze, Fr. Stan Fortuna, and Michael Barone (DTS co-founder and former EWTN producer).
