Introduction to Podcasting
What are podcasts?
Podcasts are sort of like blogs in audio format. Like blogs, podcasts come in all shapes and sizes. Here at Disciples with Microphones we have podcasts on everything from scripture to music to the Vatican.
How do I listen?
You can listen to a podcast in various ways:
- Easy Method: You can click the Listen links on the DwM website to listen to an entire podcast or a particular episode.
- Easy Method: You can click the Visit Website links to go to a podcast's homepage and listen to the episodes from there.
- Advanced Method: You can also use the Subscribe options on the DwM website to add podcast feeds to podcatching software, such as iTunes. When you subscribe to a podcast, your podcatching software will then download its episodes to your computer automatically. You can then sync the podcasts to your iPod or other MP3 player if you have one and listen to your podcasts on-the-go, wherever and whenever you want.
Visit our podcasts section to browse our Catholic podcast directory and find Catholic podcasts to listen to.
How do I start my own Catholic podcast?
Just go through our Start a Podcast Wizard to get started. Also please feel free to stop by the fourms if you need any help. We'd love to have you join the DwM lineup!
