Breadcast Goodbye
James Kurt and I started working together on the Breadcast podcast right after Easter of 2005. Since then we have
worked together on hundreds of casts of reflections on Scripture. My main job was to produce the casts for feast days and Sundays. I incorporated music and, occasionally, sound effects. Some time back, James began recording a kind of ‘Breadcast unplugged’. They were reflections on the daily Mass readings and were voice only.
A couple of months ago Roger Fortney stepped forward and began to pick up the slack since I was having trouble getting my casts done. He did a marvelous job. He is a gifted producer with a real ear and heart for Scripture. It has been great working with James and Roger. I have learned so much working with them.
Last week I informed James that I would no longer be able to produce the Breadcast. I have been unable to get them done in a timely manner and have not felt I have been able to give my best. James is now in charge of the cast. I am not sure what his exact plans are, but I know he will continue the cast. I wish him the best.
My last cast was the one I produced for November 19th. If you haven’t given the cast a listen, I encourage you to subscribe and let it be a part of your day.
Just an update on my various activities.
