Some Random Thoughts
I fasted from the computer yesterday. I found it much more difficult than fasting from food. Anyone who has seen me or share a meal with me will probably be astounded by that proclaimation.
As a way to reflect on Good Friday, my family and I tried to use noon to 3pm as a time of quite. TRIED is the operative word since I have a 4, 6, 8 & 11yr olds. Still, we read selection from the arrest, trial, way of the cross, and crucifixion each hour during this time.
The thing that my 4yr old took away from it all seems to be that Simon Peter cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest and that Judas hanged himself.
We did start the Divine Mercy Novena (I think we may have been a day late on this) and the kids seem to really be enjoying it.
I finished burning some CDs for a local parish. They hosted an interfaith dialogue with representatives from a local mosque. It turned out to be mostly a muslim apologetic, but it was still interesting. If you want to hear the whole thing (runs about 80:00) you can access it here.
