Two Tings

Out of shape guy running

Out of shape guy running,
originally uploaded by grapuman.

I have been a bit pre-occupied this week. A lot happening and I feel like I am just barely treading water.

It’s late but I wanted to post on a couple of things. The first is this pic. I was working with a client who wanted to begin using episode titles for each podcast. After listening to the latest episode I decided to go with a statement he make at the beginning of the podcast: “Boy am I out of shape”. As I was getting everything ready to post the episode, I thought It would be fun to have a picture that depicted this reality. I was the perfect example.

My wife snapped some pics of me looking pretty pathetic and I posted the picture on the client’s blog (it is set to post tomorrow morning). We’ll see if he likes it.

Update: Boy, did he HATE it! Hope I still have a client. Oh, well.

The second ting are a load of icons and graphics available royalty free. It is from a posting by Smashing Magazine. Not only do they show the images available, but they link to the sites from which they came. The sites impressed me since they are a far cry from the “free” graphics sites I ended up wading through back in the day. I found the images available to be, for the most part, very visually interesting.

Kewl Tool: FotoFox

April 3rd, 2007 by Michael Kreidler

This simple little extension for the Firefox browser has made my life just a little bit easier. For my blog and other webpages, I am regularly uploading pics to my Flickr account. I had been using the Flickr uploader (which is cool kewl in its own right). Still, it meant that I had to download the photo and then use the uploader.

With FotoFox I can easily select, tag, title and upload pictures from my computer directly to Flickr. In addition to Flickr, it works with Tabblo, 23hq, Smugmug, Marela, and Kodak EasyShare Gallery.
