Divine Mercy Podcast (Podcast Info)
The Divine Mercy podcast presents a series of podcasts devoted to the physiology of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The series will discuss what was physically taking place in the human body of our Lord during the Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, the trials of Jesus, the scourging and the crucifixion.
In addition, I will be reading excerpts from the visions of St. Anne Catherine Emmerich of the Sorrowful Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. These visions provide us with a detailed description of the horrific Passion and will, hopefully, shed further light on the humanity and divinity of our Lord.

Welcome,Good to see everyone again. Sorry for the delay in the release of this episode. I just couldn't get it edited properly last night and Tanya and I figured it would be better to wait and edit the show properly rather than release a thrown-together episode. This week we discuss a 13 year old Italian girl who was forced to have an abortion by her parents using the country's court system. We also discuss several articles in our local newspaper. We talk about the new HPV vaccine and why it shouldn't be mandatory and NJ becoming the 3rd state to recognize "homosexual marriage". We also discuss our own week, snow, sledding and cookies.Links and resources:http://www.lifenews.com - Italian Girl Facing Mental Anguish Following Decision to Force Abortionhttp://www.hartfordcourant.comhttp://www.rosaryarmy.com/forumThat's all for this week. Meditations from Carmel (Podcast Info)
Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection (Letter 15)"If we want to enjoy the peace of paradise in this life, we must become accustomed to conversing with Him in a familiar, humble and loving manner. We must restrain our minds from wandering away for any reason whatsoever. We must make our hearts a spiritual temple where we continually adore him. We must keep constant guard over ourselves not to do, say or think anything that might displease him. When we are attentive to God in this way suffering will no longer be anything but sweetness, balm, and consolation. I know that to reach this state, the first steps are very difficult, and that we must act purely in faith. Furthermore, we know we can do anything with God’s grace, and he never refuses it to those who earnestly ask him for it. Knock at his door, keep knocking, and I tell you that he will open to you in his time if you do not give up, and that he will give you, all at once, what he held off giving for years." Date: February 25, 2007Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection (Letter 10, Page 71) “Remember, I beg you, what I recommended to you, that is, to think of God often, night and day, in all your activities, and even when you relax. He is always near you and with you; do not leave him alone. You would consider it rude to leave a friend who is visiting you by himself; then why abandon God and leave him alone? Do not forget him. Think of him often, adore him continually, live and die with him. This is the true occupation of a Christian; in a word, this is our trade. If we don’t know it, we must learn it! Date: February 17, 2007St. John of the Cross - Acsent of Mt Carmel Book Three Chapter 6, 4Clearly it is always useless to be disturbed, since being disturbed is never any help. Thus, if the whole world were to crumble and to come to an end and all things were to go wrong, it would be useless to get disturbed, for this would do more harm than good. Enduring all with tranquil and peaceful equanimity not only reaps many blessings but also helps the soul so that in these very adversities it may manage better in judging them and employing the proper remedy. In all events, however unfavorable, we ought rather to rejoice than be disturbed, and bear them all with equanimity so as not to lose a blessing greater than all prosperity.Time 3:00Acsent of Mt Carmel Book Three Chapter 6, 4 ICS The Collected Works of St. John of the Cross, Revised Edition.
